For more information about weekly classes and prices please look at our 'Classes' Page. Puppy Classes Our puppy classes are held throughout the year so we're always ready to welcome you and the newest addition to your family. Your puppy can start a class after having its injections and is then allowed to leave your home. Within our puppy classes we aim to help you train your dog so that it becomes happy, obedient, controled and socialised. We start the puppy training as a 6week course and then progress to The Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Scheme. Its all about having fun and having a well behaved dog. What to expect to learn in our puppy class
Obedience Classes Obedience classes are designed for progression for puppies and for also dogs which may not of had any intial training, and also rescue dogs. Obedience classes are for dogs of any age. We train from basic older dog obedience to competitive obedience. Within the obedience classes we like to get our dogs trained and prepared for The Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme from Bronze level to Gold. The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest dog training scheme in the UK. Its aim is to promote responsible dog ownership, enhance our relationship with our pets and to make the community aware of the benefits associated with dog ownership. Agility Classes We have mainly fun agility classes at Klever K9s due to the equipment being especially made for indoor training, it is not full height equipment. A dog must be 6months old to attend a weekly agility class and depending on the breed it may be suggested to wait longer, this is due to the dogs growth developement. All jumps are on small height when indoors or even lower. Agility is a great way of bonding with your dog, getting self motivation, working with your dog as a team, and building independence from your dog. 1-2-1s One to ones is were the training is just yourself and the instructor. This allows you to work on certain exercises and behaviours you want to train your dog. The 1-2-1s are only availiable on request. Workshops / Seminars / Courses Throughout the year Klever K9s run many different training workshops within different dog sports including: HW2M, Obedience, Platform training, Clicker training, Hoopers and Scent Detection. These training workshops can be with an instructor at the club or sometimes it is a different instructor who has come to teach. These get advertised on our website and our Facebook Page. |
